Turn-key concrete pricing.

At J. Callahan Concrete, we often get asked questions such as:

What is your price per square foot?

How much did that driveway cost?

How much for a X by X pad?

Due to the scope of our service offering and the highly customizable nature of concrete, it is nearly impossible to estimate concrete projects online or by phone with 100% accuracy

However, our Ballpark Pricing Guide offers a starting place to plan your budget and set expectations for your next concrete project!

Turn-Key Concrete Pricing Considerations

Turn-Key Concrete

This term indicated to the customer is not be required to organize multiple contractors to complete the project itself. However, the customer may be responsible for coordinating additional services before or after the construction of the concrete slab, pad, or structure.

  • For example, the customer may need to have some trees or stumps removed prior to the start of the project, or may need to work with a landscaping contractor after the concrete is poured and cured to reach a desired aesthetic.

Turn-Key Concrete at J. Callahan Concrete includes grading, hauling of dirt and/or debris, compaction, subgrade, preparation, form building, concrete pour, and concrete finishing.

Demo & Pourback

This is an industry term for the demolition and replacement of an existing hardscape structure such as a driveway, patio, slab, etc. "Pourback" indicates that new concrete mix will be poured back into the existing location to recreate the concrete structure as opposed to resurfacing or overlay.

what affects my price?

Equipment
  • Specialized heavy equipment for grading, compaction, and/or concrete transportation on-site can be one of the biggest factors in pricing concrete projects. If you have several smaller projects in mind, you may want to consider having them completed at this same time to reduce costs in this area.

Materials
  • Any additional materials requested or required will add to the cost of your project. Be sure to ask your Concrete Specialist at your Estimate Appointment if you're considering additional materials and aren't sure about the benefits they might have for your project.

Concrete Finish
  • Some finish types require additional labor, materials, and/or equipment. All of these elements could add to the cost of your concrete project project.

  • PRO TIP: If you're looking to add some character to your concrete, consider custom forming, stamped boarders or entrances, and/or custom saw cuts. While these options will still increase the cost of your project, they may be more cost-effective than full-scale custom finishes for some budgets.

Reinforcement
  • Reinforcement solutions such as fiber mesh, wire mesh, and rebar will all increase price based on the additional labor and materials required. Be sure to discuss the intended purpose of your concrete structure, the benefit of different reinforcement types, and how they effect the cost of your project with your Concrete Specialist.
